Abstract

The objects used in design education have a specific significance for the formation of skills. Based on sociological and philosophical concepts such as those of Simon (1996) or Latour (1994) on the role and importance of objects in social contexts, it is possible to develop a didactic model that uses the specific properties of objects to place the object in the role of a didactic agent. In this way, in addition to the known actors - learners, teachers and the situational context - another agent intervenes in the learning process and shapes it in a specific way.
